In the role as application engineer you will be responsible for carrying out service, support, maintenance, operation, testing and repair of autonomous systems and vessels for customers at home and abroad. You will also be involved in commissioning and testing as well as holding courses for customers. The work is done both at the customer's premises and via remote connection from our operating room. The role requires that you enjoy traveling alone both domestically and abroad. Extensive traveling can in periods be required. 

Qualifications:

  • Technical education in a relevant area, for example electronics, mechanical engineering, mechanics or hydrography
  • It is an advantage if you have experience with ship systems, sensors and sensor integration, IT/data technology, as well as repair and maintenance of technical systems.
  • Worked with customers both domestic and internationally
  • Minimum 3 years' experience from similar roles
  • Preferably experience from maritime industry
  • Experienced with Linux-based systems (Ubuntu, Debian or similar) and networks 
  • Experienced with how to document projects
  • Preferably experience from Python, C++, Qt 5, QML, JavaScript
  • Preferably experience from experience of how Git works and can be used 
  • Must be proficient in English, both written and spoken
  • Preferably also experience with Spanish, but no requirement
